The Molly Sparks Academy is a faith-based educational ministry dedicated to nurturing the whole child, mind, body, and spirit. As part of Lifeline Children and Family Services, our mission is to equip every student with the wisdom, courage, and love needed to live purpose-driven lives rooted in God’s truth.
We believe that education is more than academics, it is a calling to develop Christ-centered leaders who will impact their families, communities, and the world. Through our academic programs, spiritual guidance, and family-focused support, we create an environment where every learner can thrive and soar to their God-given potential.

We believe that a healthy body supports a healthy mind. The Nutrition and Health ministry empowers students and families to make informed choices about wellness, offering practical education in nutrition, exercise, and self-care. Through meal programs, wellness workshops, and community resources, we promote habits that honor God through stewardship of the body He has given us.
A ministry of Lifeline Children and Family Services, Safe Space provides compassionate, faith-based mental and behavioral health support for children and families. Our licensed counselors and mentors create an atmosphere of safety and trust where healing and growth can occur. Whether addressing emotional challenges, trauma, or behavioral concerns, Safe Space integrates Biblical principles with clinical care to restore hope and resilience.
Lifeline Fellowship Family Church serves as the spiritual foundation of our community. Through worship, fellowship, and outreach, we unite families in faith and service. The church partners closely with the Academy to ensure that spiritual growth is woven into every part of learning, helping students develop a personal relationship with Christ that guides their lives.
The Scholar Owls represent wisdom that comes from God, courage that grows through faith, and love that builds community. Our mission is to inspire every student to soar academically and spiritually, guided by the truth of God’s Word.
Like the owl, we embrace learning as a lifelong journey — using knowledge and faith to light the path toward excellence. Together, we strive to create a Christ-centered nest of support, respect, and achievement where every learner can spread their wings and rise to the calling God has placed on their lives.
“But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.”
— Isaiah 40:31
Molly Sparks Walker is a lifelong educator whose passion for teaching and faith has touched generations of students across Texas. With nearly fifty years of service as a teacher, principal, and adjunct professor, Molly has dedicated her life to helping young people grow in wisdom, confidence, and character. She holds degrees from Grambling College and Stephen F. Austin University and has been recognized for her leadership, creativity, and devotion to excellence in education.
Her commitment to faith and family shines through her work with Lifeline Children and Family Services, where she continues to serve as a board member. In recognition of her enduring impact, the Academy she once led was renamed The Molly Sparks Academy — a living tribute to her belief that education guided by God’s truth can transform lives.
Molly Sparks Walker, the only child of Rev. & Mrs. H.A. Smart, was born December 8, 1940, in Ferriday, Louisiana. Her early years in that small southern town shaped her strong sense of faith, family, and community service.
After graduating high school, Molly attended Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, for one year before enrolling at Grambling College, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Speech and English. She later completed a Master’s Degree in Education Administration from Stephen F. Austin University in Nacogdoches, Texas.
Molly’s educational career spanned nearly five decades, serving as a classroom teacher, assistant principal, and principal in Corsicana ISD, Ennis ISD, and Kerens ISD. She also served as an adjunct professor of Developmental English at Navarro College. Even after retirement, her love for education and children remained steadfast — she accepted the position of lead teacher at Lifeline Academy, which was later renamed in her honor as The Molly Sparks Academy.
In college, Molly’s gifts extended beyond the classroom. She was a talented actress, earning the Best Actress Award in 1961 at the National Association of Speech Arts held at Tuskegee Institute in Alabama. Her high school students in speech and drama went on to receive many district and state awards under her direction.
Molly is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and has been recognized in Who’s Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities. Her professional affiliations include the National Education Association, Texas State Teachers Association, and the Texas Retired Teachers Association. She continues to serve her community as a board member for Lifeline Children and Family Services.
Molly was married for forty-four years to educator Bobby Sparks, Sr., until his passing in 2009. Their union was blessed with one son, Bobby Sparks II, a three-time Grammy Award–winning musician who shares joy around the world through his gift of music. She is the proud grandmother of Bobby III, Raya, and Ashton. On October 22, 2011, Molly married Lee Walker, and together they are enjoying retirement and a life filled with faith, family, and travel.
Her dedication to education, service, and faith continues to inspire every aspect of The Molly Sparks Academy.
